Parents and Carers

We know that as a parent or carer, you want to give your young person the best possible start to adult life by getting into the right education. We're here to help.

Helping your child to make decisions on their future can be confusing for everyone, but we have plenty of resources and helpful staff on hand.

We have a wealth of experience in helping students choose the right course to kickstart their career, as well as helping them make the transition from school (or after a break in education) to college life as easy and as smooth as possible.

We know that making decisions post-16 can be a worrying time, but our Careers Coordinator can offer impartial advice to support your child in understanding and exploring the career options available to them, helping them choose the most appropriate course and helping them plan what to do once they complete their studies.

Our tutors will also advise on the career and progression opportunities available in that particular area. They can tell you more about what the course is like, what kind of things students will learn, how the course is organised, how work is assessed and what previous students have gone on to do.

From the moment students arrive at Bishop Burton College, they have a network of support around them.

Whether it's impartial careers advice, study support, health and wellbeing or financial support, discover the wide range of student support on offer at Bishop Burton College.
