Schools Liaison

We want every young person to be inspired to pursue their passion and to develop the skills they will need to succeed in their careers. We work with schools across the region to help with this.

At Bishop Burton, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience college and university life so that they understand what we can offer to them.

As part of this, we work with schools and their students on a number of different initiatives, with a focus on years 10 - 13.

We’re supported by highly qualified lecturers and work closely with schools, colleges, teachers and careers advisors to develop strong relationships for targeted outreach work, ensuring that all young people have opportunities, regardless of their background.

We can share all of the little details that make studying at Bishop Burton College and University Centre a great option for school leavers. From the courses on offer to additional student support, your students will be able to quiz us on what's important to them.

Advisors Event

We host an annual advisors event that is open to staff from schools and colleges, which usually takes place in September.

Children's University

Whilst our focus is on years 10 - 13, we also work with younger year groups through Hull and East Yorkshire's Children's University.

The charity works with children growing up in disadvantaged areas of Hull and East Yorkshire who may not have the same opportunities as others.

Open Events

We host a range of Open Events throughout each academic year for both Further and Higher Education.

Open to any prospective students and their families, they're a great opportunity for young people to explore our campus and to discover what we offer.
