Wellbeing

At Bishop Burton and Riseholme Colleges, we support you as a person, not just a student. When life feels challenging, we’re here to help you build resilience, manage your emotions, and develop the confidence to handle whatever comes your way.

Introducing the 2025–2026 Wellbeing Vision

Student Wellbeing Journey

At Bishop Burton and Riseholme Colleges, we’re here to support you as a person, not just as a student. Life can be tough, and that’s why our wellbeing support is designed to help you build resilience, manage emotions, and develop the tools to cope with whatever life throws your way.

Whether you're struggling with friendships, feeling overwhelmed, or facing something more complex, we’ll work with you so you feel more confident and capable navigating the ups and downs.

Accessing Wellbeing Support

The Wellbeing Team works closely with college staff, students, and families (for under-18s) to keep everyone supported. We may be in touch if you’re absent or if something is affecting your wellbeing.

You can refer yourself, or a parent, guardian, or staff member can do it for you.

Opening hours:

  • Monday–Thursday: 8:30am–5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:30am–4:30pm

Email us at:

wellbeing@bishopburton.ac.uk

wellbeing@riseholme.ac.uk

Or pop into Student Services for a chat. The wellbeing team will explore what support you need and make sure you receive it in a timely way.

You can book a Wellbeing Session here.
