Our Forensic Science and Criminal Investigation course opens up fascinating career opportunities, ranging from biomedical and environmental sciences to a breadth of roles within the criminal justice system.

The course explores a range of scientific and investigative disciplines, including biology, chemistry, physics and social sciences, combining theoretical learning with practical work.

It will provide you with a range of transferable knowledge and skills, which will give you a solid base for higher-level study or employment.

Specialist forensic science course

Study the Level 3 Forensic Science course at Bishop Burton College and you’ll learn from expert tutors in dedicated laboratories, as well as our purpose-built STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Centre.

The course will broaden your scientific knowledge and skills, allowing you to experience a broad range of vocational disciplines such as microbiology, genetics, anthropology and key elements of the criminal justice system, giving you a real feel for the sector and allowing you to develop specialist skills linked to working in specific areas of industry.

We have strong industry links with Humberside Police, laboratories and other industry professionals. You will hear from expert guest lecturers and have the opportunity to participate in work experience. We also organise study trips to provide you with real-world exposure to the industry.
