The course

Do you need academic or social support? Are you new to a college environment or are you progressing from an Entry Level 3 programme? This course is ideal for you.

You will develop practical skills in a range of land based subjects, as well as developing personal and time management skills, preparing you for employment opportunities.

The programme provides a mix of theory and practical sessions, working with small animals, farm livestock, horses and horticulture.

You will need a full Entry Level 3 qualification, or equivalent, as well as 3 GCSEs at grades 1-2, including Maths and English. A passion for the subject and one satisfactory reference are also required.

  • One pair of steel toe cap boots
  • One pair of college-branded overalls
  • One pair of gardening gloves
  • All other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided
  • Folder with dividers to organise your work and assessments
  • Stationery including pens, pencils and a notepad for use in class
