Dan - Construction Multiskills

Dan is a Level 1 Construction Multiskills student. He was able to turn around his mindset towards studying thanks to some helpful words from his tutor and is now on the right path to achieve great things in his budding career in construction.

I had always known I wanted to come to Bishop Burton College and had originally applied for the sports academy and was offered a place. Thinking more long-term, I knew I was unlikely to become the next Ronaldo so decided to study construction instead. I am a hands-on learner and wanted something practical and to learn a skill. I came to a few open events too, it’s close to home and a good college so that’s why I am here. The course itself is a highlight, just doing something I enjoy and building everyday.

Dan Keeligan Multiskills

"The tutors are really good, you can relate to them and can have a laugh with them. If you are doing well with your work, they can progress you and challenge you with harder walls to do which is really encouraging. I am hoping to go self employed when I have finished my education and work on private sites."
