Robin Fletcher

Robin had always wanted to study in a more practical environment and found that Bishop Burton College was the ideal fit for him. Being a local college, and with a reputation for being one of the best in the area the countryside management course appealed to Robin's hopes to work within the countryside sector.

"This course opens the door to a lot of opportunities within countryside management. As an agricultural college it offers a lot more unique opportunities that you wouldn’t be able to get from a college in the middle of a busy city. There is a lot of land beyond the campus, including woodland and farmland that we are able to benefit from. There are lots of wildlife within the campus to interact with that you can get hands on experience working with without having to leave the premises. The teaching staff are really great, very patient and knowledgeable in the field. The tutors each have good experience within the sector and are able to share their valuable knowledge and skills with us."

"We have had some really great trips already so far on the course. We have gone and done some practical jobs in various settings, whether that’s in the woodland or on the beach doing profiling. The practical sessions are really the highlight to this unique course."
