Sports Scholarships
We are proud to be a National Centre of Excellence for Sport. As part of our programme we are in the fortunate position to have a scholarship fund which can be used to support players with costs they incur whilst studying at Bishop Burton College.
Scholarship allocation reflects College aims and objectives and are awarded to recognised talented players across sporting disciplines. The criteria of allocation includes, but is not limited to:
- Level of recognised sporting performance in and out of education
- Level of study (for example Higher Education)
- Positional demand
- External sporting partner feedback
- Demonstration of College values on and off of the pitch
- Outcome of a residential bursary application (to ensure that students aren’t awarded more than the value of accommodation)
Awards are made on a percentage (1% to 100%) of costs incurred by a student whilst at College and, for example, can be used to support the following:
Tuition fees (Higher Education)
Residential accommodation fees (standard room)
College associated international and national representation playing fees (i.e England Colleges competitions)
