Women's Football

An outstanding opportunity for aspiring female footballers.

We are centered around providing girls in Hull and East Yorkshire with the opportunity to play at the highest level possible.

A key aim of our women's football programme is to increase participation in female football and retain more players, by providing players aged 16-21 a high-level training and games programme.

To help with this, the academy welcomes students who are studying at college and university-level with us.

Compete at the highest level

The Women’s Football Academy competes in a number of regional and national competitions, most notably the newly formed English Colleges Football Association (ECFA) Women’s Performance League. The ECFA Women’s Performance League is the only recognised 11-a-side competition within the Association of Colleges (AoC) for female players that provides players with an extremely high level of competitive match play.

Fantastic training

To accompany this high level of match play, you will be provided with a high-level periodised training programme allowing you to develop in all aspects of your game. The training programme has been specifically designed in order to develop your technical, tactical and physical skillset, through the use of unique individual development plans, video analysis sessions and a specifically designed strength and conditioning programme.

How to apply

To apply for our women's football academy, you should have previous experience playing competitive football.

You can apply for any course at Bishop Burton College and still be considered for the football academy.
