The Equine department at UCBB is home to some of the finest equestrian facilities in the UK, making it the ideal location for you to take the next step in your career.
Our lecturers and instructors are experts in their field, with many involved in research and scholarly activity alongside their academic responsibility in sectors such as veterinary physiotherapy.
By studying an Equine degree with us, you will have the opportunity to take part in research projects and learn essential theory that you can then put into practice.

You will be able to tap into an excellent network of contacts in the industry, with a range of guest speakers and visits, and the opportunity to take part in study trips.
As well as having the opportunity to gain work experience at other venues, work-based learning modules at our Equine Centres will allow you to learn at a vast range of local, national and international competitions, clinics and demonstrations and commercial activities.
Our BSc Equine Therapy and Rehabilitation programme has been accredited by the Animal Health Professions’ Register (AHPR), recognising the course’s ability to equip you to provide equine sports therapy that protects animal welfare, the interests of the horse owners and veterinary surgeons who will refer cases to you. You will also be able to apply for direct entry to AHPR making the application process straight forward upon graduating.
