What our students say
We think that the higher level study at University Centre Bishop Burton (UCBB) is pretty special but don't just take our word for it. Our students have been telling us all about their experiences at UCBB.
Lucy Cox - Animal Sciences
"I started my time as a student studying Animal Management at Level 3 before moving onto the BSc (Hons) Bioveterinary Science at UCBB. Upon graduating I joined the graduate scheme at Cranswick Foods Plc as I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to do."
Toni - BSc (Hons) Bioveterinary Science
Toni focused her dissertation on the revival of the rhino using artificial insemination, enhancing genetic diversity amongst the rhino species and hoped to determine if this is something we could do in our lifetime. Through her research she unearthed a lot of bias and unpredictability within the world of science.
Aaron Cooper - FdSc in Animal Management and Behaviour
“UCBB encapsulated what I would want for a university!”
Animal Sciences student Aaron’s favourite part of being at UCBB is the hands-on experience with the collection of over 100 species of animal. He loves that the academic team are very helpful and hands on are very supportive but challenge students to reach their potential. Aaron feels trusted to work with the animals and handle them independently thanks to the industry insight of the team and visiting experts.
